Onsite at the J-Lab/ONA Citizens Media Summit II

J-Lab’s great citizen journalism summit is soon to be underway here in Washington, D.C., and I’ll be in attendance and helping moderate through the day. I’m glad to say that this year’s program has the support of the Online News Association ...

... (yours truly encouraged J-Lab Exec. Director Jan Schaffer to reach out last spring to ONA). ONA is holding its annual conference in the same conference spot, beginning this evening and through Saturday night. I’ll be on hand at ONA as well, where they’re also making a pass at the citizen media topic with a “Developing New Voices” panel that I organized for Friday morning. And who better to moderate than Jan Schaffer. My hope was to develop further connective tissue between some of the smartest folks around in the citizen media arena and the bright mainstream media folks who populate the ONA gathering. I’ll report back later in the day on the most interesting highlights. Meanwhile, here's the Summit agenda and the ONA Developing New Voices panel.
