Videobloggers, Take Note: Nokia N93i
Forgive me from getting geeky for a moment -- but oh, this is sweet...
Check out the Nokia 93i, which was featured at the Consumer Electronics Show last week. I heard about it this morning on Slashdot Review, and it had me drooling...
...Except for the price: This is an upgrade from Nokia's N93, which retails for $700. Nokia doesn't list a price yet for the N93i, but it's gotta be more costly.
Anyway, I know everyone is drooling over the Apple iPhone, but I'm pretty skeptical about that until more people actually get their hands on that mythical beast. Meanwhile, this Nokia device seems more geared to producing content, which is what excites me. Can't wait to demo it.
Phones Encyclopedia gives this rundown of the specs: "You can shoot DVD-like quality videos with the Nokia N93i thanks to its MPEG-4 VGA video capture at up to 30 frames per second, stereo audio recording and digital stabilization. The Nokia N93i also boasts a 3.2 megapixel (2048 x 1536 pixels) camera with Carl Zeiss optics, 3x optical zoom, autofocus and close-up mode. With the 1 GB miniSD card included in the standard Nokia N93i sales pack, you can capture up to 45 minutes of DVD-like quality video or up to 1250 high-quality photos."

This looks like the kind of Edison Carter/Max Headroom device I've been waiting for to round out my citizen journalism toolkit...

Oh, that's too sweet. Okay Amy, I want the iPhone, but I want that Nokia N93 too. So that usually means I get neither and remained stuck with my crappy little LG flip phone.

Battery time is what worries me about the Nokia N93i
